Weigang Technology named Ecolyne distributor in Greater China

Flint Group Digital Xeikon has appointed Weigang Technology as the distributor of its Ecolyne dry-toner digital label printing platform across Greater China.

Under the new distribution agreement, Weigang will sell, service and support Ecolyne throughout the region, combining Xeikon digital printing technology with Weigang’s local engineering, manufacturing and service capabilities.

The companies have also entered into a Manufacturing and Sourcing Agreement covering Ecolyne production, as well as a broader Contract Manufacturing Agreement that establishes a framework for additional manufacturing cooperation. Details of future projects will be announced as they develop.

Ecolyne is designed as an entry point into industrial digital label production, combining dry-toner print quality and substrate flexibility with production capabilities geared toward commercial label converting environments.

“Ecolyne is at the center of this cooperation,” says Walter Benz, president of Flint Group Digital Xeikon. “It is the platform we have developed for converters who want to start producing labels digitally using a true industrial setup, with the print quality, substrate range and uptime that their customers expect.”

According to Benz, combining the platform with Weigang’s regional presence will make the technology more accessible to converters while providing local support.

“Becoming the distributor of Xeikon’s Ecolyne platform in Greater China is an important step for Weigang and a natural fit with our existing label printing portfolio,” says Ryan Zhou, general manager of Weigang Technology. “Ecolyne addresses exactly the kind of high-quality, productive digital production that converters in the region are moving toward.”
